Join Us for Black History Month 2026!
The Bradford Children and Familes Trust have partnered with the Centre for Inclusion and Diversity at University of Bradford this year to mark Black History Month with the theme, "Honouring Our Communities,"
This special event is open to all and will bring colleagues, students, and community partners together to recognise, celebrate, and reflect on the contributions, achievements, and rich cultural heritage of Black communities.
We are still finalising the programme but here is a quick insight:

- Opening remarks by Councillor Chris Herd - Lord Mayor of Bradford
- Keynote by Charles Dacres - Bradford Hate Crime Alliance,
- Film screening of the documentary PAINTED followed by a panel discussion
- Live choir
- Music by Takudzwa Bakasa
- Panel discussion exploring the positive impact individuals can have within their communities
