Join us for this year’s Black Graduate Careers Conference, an event aimed at guiding and inspiring the next generation of Black graduates on their journeys in STEM and Business. This day-long conference offers a comprehensive program aiming to equip attendees to make informed decisions with respect to their next career steps.

The conference kicks off at 9:45 with a warm welcome from Prof Mary Ryan, Vice Provost Research and Enterprise, and will be followed by “Rising Stars”, a captivating session highlighting the achievements and experiences of emerging talents in the workforce, headed by Dr. Wayne Mitchell, Associate Provost Imperial EDI.
From 11:30 - 12:30, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a series of engaging workshops, covering a range of topics offering practical insights and guidance tailored to various career paths. These include:

4.Careers in Teaching and outreach
5. Career as a technician
A networking lunch and exhibition from 12:30 to 14:00 provide a platform for attendees to connect with industry professionals, explore career opportunities, and gain valuable insights from exhibitors. Afternoon sessions will resume with a focus on postgraduate studies and their role in enhancing career options and employability, followed by another round workshops from 15:15 to 16:15. Rounded off with a keynote address by Muyiwa Oki, President of RIBA, the conference concludes with final remarks from Prof Washington Ochieng at 17:15, followed by a networking session from 17:30 to 19:00, providing an opportunity for attendees to forge valuable connections and exchange ideas over refreshments.
Throughout the day, an exhibition will showcase opportunities and resources, while workshops will offer practical advice and insights tailored to various career paths.
