Nestled just an hour to the south of Dublin lies the enchanting 'Garden of Ireland,' County Wicklow. This captivating county is a tapestry of undulating hills, charming Irish villages, and a treasure trove of local history that reaches back to the Neolithic period.The Wicklow uplands beckon with their strikingly wild hiking trails, where unspoiled landscapes and awe-inspiring vistas await. Beneath, you'll discover the lush, vibrant lowlands, thriving with agricultural life, woodlands, fields, and idyllic valleys.
Our weekend will be hosted in a basic hut, thoughtfully positioned in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains. This hut will serve as our base camp, offering the unique advantage of stepping out each morning to explore the riches that the Wicklow Mountains and Ireland's ancient east have to offer.
COST: £300 on RSVP
INCLUDES: 3 nights dormitory accommodation, 3 breakfasts, 2 packed lunches, 1 evening meal. 2 guided hikes, free return transport from Dublin, Dublin City tour
NOT INCLUDED: meals, not listed above drinks, there are plenty of options nearby, travel insurance (compulsory)

Day 1 - Friday 28th June
Meet in Dublin city at 13:00 for a group chat about the weekend ahead, lunch, free afternoon, and travel by private bus to our accommodation in Co. Wicklow (1hr drive)
Day 2 - Sat 29th June - Hike to Tonlegee Mountain and the heart-shaped lake
From our front door, we’ll travel through Glendasan Valley along Saint Kevin's trail, winding its way up the valley towards the Wicklow Gap. From here, we’ll make our ascent of Tonlegee mountain, where we’ll be presented with fantastic views down towards Lough Ouler, Ireland's heart-shaped lake. We’ll carry on our journey towards Brockagh mountain, where we’ll descend back down the valley towards our hut for a hearty meal and an evening spent in the mountains.
Day 3 - Sun 30th June - Hike to Glendalough Valley
Exploring one of the most historical sites in Ireland is a must today, with a hike through Glendalough Valley and a monastic village, dating back to the 6th century AD. We’ll explore the valley, visit its stunning lake, and start our climb out of the valley and up into the uplands, which offer some of the most beautiful views in all of Ireland. We’ll spend the day hiking across trails and scenic boardwalks off the beaten path, to finally end back at our hut for another night at our hut.
Day 4 - Monday 1st July
Travel back to Dublin City by bus (1hr) free time to explore the city independently, depending on your flight times.
