About this Event

Remembering. Reconnecting. Reclaiming.

Black women have a rich history and connection to nature, but for many of us, that connection has been interrupted. As we navigate the busyness of our lives, balancing our roles as caretakers, community leaders, executives, mothers, aunties, entrepreneurs, creatives, friends and so much more, it's easy to lose touch with the spaces that nourish us most. Nature offers us a chance to slow down, gain clarity and receive wisdom that we can carry into our everyday lives. Despite a common narrative, that Black women “don’t do nature”, we know the truth; we’ve always belonged here.

We invite you to join Black Women in Nature for the launch of Black Girl Belong: Reclaiming Our Space in Nature, for an immersive 8-week series focused on mindfulness, environmental awareness and ancestral connection to nature. This is your invitation to come home to nature–and to yourself.
