Black Scranton Project invites you to the 2026 Black Excellence Gala: an unforgettable celebration of Black excellence, culture, fashion, art, and community impact!
In partnership with NEPA Fashion Week Season 5, we’re bringing the runway to the Gala and infusing the evening with even more style and creativity. Experience runway presentations featuring local and up-and-coming designers from across the region, in addition to community awards, vendors, live performances, special guests, dinner, entertainment, and more surprises!
At the Black Excellence Gala, we will be honoring our local changemakers with our "Been Lit Awards." We are taking this moment to honor the individuals and organizations that have been adding to the culture and community of Northeastern PA. These are the individuals who remind us we BEEN LIT.
This is more than a Gala. We’re celebrating the centennial of our historic bank building, now home to the Black Scranton Project Center for Arts & Culture (BSPCAC), America250, and the continued creation of culture for us, by us.
Come dressed to impress in your best formal look inspired by this year’s theme: "if you're not doing the most, you aren't doing enough." Walk the red carpet, take up space, and serve your best look!
