VENOM SYNDICATE PRESENTS: BLACK CARL! & DON JAMALSat 10/24 · The Rabbit Hole · Charlotte
A former metalhead from Birmingham. A kid from Saudi Arabia who learned dubstep from UKF videos. This summer they went b2b on Club Studio Time, the comments filled up with "DON CARL"
Now they're doing it again, here.
BLACK CARL❗️
Carl grew up in the pit at Slipknot and Devil Wears Prada shows. He still makes music like it: wonky, ugly-beautiful dubstep that hits like a breakdown and then gets in your feelings. UKF premiered his track "Act A Fool." He remixed Zeds Dead's "Hadouken" with CHEE. He's half of Integrate with VCTRE, two masked DJs making industrial bass. Infrasound, Sol Fest and Okeechobee all booked him. He's playing new tracks nobody has heard yet.
DON JAMAL
Don started producing in 2019. Five years later he was playing Zeds Dead's Dead Rocks show at Red Rocks, the show he'd gone to as a fan every year. He releases on Deadbeats and Bassrush. He has shared the decks with Skrillex, Zeds Dead and Justin Jay. He called his Lightning in a Bottle set "the best set of my life." He'll go from filthy 140 into breaks and garage without warning, and the room has to keep up.
