Join Golden Eagle Audubon for our monthly beginner and family-friendly bird walk along the Bethine Church River Trail. This is a great opportunity to learn about riparian habitat as we focus on local birds, plants, and stewardship efforts in the area.
You can expect to see songbirds, waterfowl, woodpeckers, herons, and kingfishers on our trip.
This monthly bird walk is targeted towards beginner birders, so if you are brand-new to birding, this is the outing for you! We will cover basics like adjusting your binoculars, how to use field guides, and tips & tricks to identifying birds.

Accessibility: This event is appropriate for those with visual impairment and/or limited mobility, and is wheelchair accessible.
Birding Skill Level: All levels are welcome! Binoculars will be available to borrow if needed.
Age: Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.
Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm. Check-in is at 9:50am. Please arrive at check-in so we can start on time.
At the entrance to the Library! at Bown Crossing near the parking lot. (Click on "Meeting Place" to get directions from your location.)
What to Bring: Layers for weather, sun protection, insect repellant, close-toed shoes, and anything else you need to be comfortable being outside for a couple of hours. No dogs please.
Restroom Availability: No public restrooms are available.
Inclement Weather: If there is an unhealthy AQI, steady precipitation forecast, or the trails are not suitable for ethical passage, the trip may be cancelled.

Cancellation Policy: If your plans change, please cancel your ticket on Eventbrite or contact the field trip leader listed above. Participants who miss two trips without advance notice may be suspended from registering for three months. Thanks for your understanding!
