Join DC Bird Alliance for a guided bird walk at beautiful Lake Artemesia Natural Area in College Park, Maryland!
With its open water, wetlands, wooded edges, and surrounding green spaces, Lake Artemesia offers a wonderful variety of habitats and opportunities to observe birds throughout the year.
We'll keep our eyes and ears open for ducks, geese, herons, kingfishers, woodpeckers, songbirds, and other seasonal visitors. And because birds don't follow our schedules, there's always the possibility of a surprise!
Our walk will follow the lake's established paths, with frequent stops to observe birds, practice identification, and learn a little about the natural world around us.
