About this Event
Come with us to look for birds at Ulistac Natural Area! Ulistac is a local bird-watching gem with flat/even dirt trails, lots of native plants and habitat for residents and migrants, as well as nearby water in the Guadalupe River. Here you might glimpse the flash of a western tanager, the glide of a red-tailed hawk or the antics of resident Bewick's wrens. Join us and find out!
Participants will meet up at the main entrance to Ulistac Natural Area. Parking is free along Lick Mill Blvd. Please note that there is no restroom at this location, however the closest public restroom is located across the road at Lick Mill Park. Trails are even dirt paths surrounded by lush native plants and wildlife. Come with layers, good walking shoes, quiet snacks and water. We advise bringing mosquito repellent since there is water nearby that attracts them.
