Join us for a bird walk at Massapequa Lake as we welcome migrating waterfowl and many other birds!Bird walks led by a member of SSAS are held nearly every week, either Saturday or Sunday morning from late August through early June. Walks are open to the public and are free of charge. We especially encourage youngsters to attend.
There is no walk if it rains.
Register by texting that you would like to join the bird walk to Joe Landesberg at 516-467-9498. Include your name and a contact number to text should there be a need to cancel.
Directions: Use street parking on the westbound side of Merrick Road. Massapequa Lake is at the south end of Massapequa Preserve, between Lakeshore Boulevard and Ocean Avenue.
