About this Event
We will meet David Scott in the car park at Journey’s End.
He will have his weighing, ringing & paperwork set up to record all the birds which are rung.
Last time we heard a Lesser spotted woodpecker closeby & saw a pair of Crossbills flying over as well as ringing many varieties of birds.
He is a fountain of knowledge and is always happy to share his expertise if asked.
David is also a renowned wildlife artist - be sure to check out his website to see his stunning work.
David Scott eats, sleeps, and breathes nature every day. His passion and knowledge as a licensed bird ringer and satellite tagger are reflected in his involvement with conservation programmes for a variety of species, helping us to better understand how to conserve them. He does regular trips up to Cumbria & the Yorkshire Moors, where estate owners gain immense knowledge from him as to caring for the ground nesting birds year round.
This event is organised by DWT Bovey Tracey Local Group.
