Biomass and Bioproduct Symposium 2026
November 17–18, 2026 | Ottawa, Ontario
Join researchers, industry leaders, policymakers, investors and commercialization organizations from across Canada for the Biomass and Bioproduct Symposium 2026, co-hosted by BioFuelNet Canada and Bioindustrial Innovation Canada (BIC).
This national symposium will bring together Canada's bioeconomy community to exchange knowledge, build connections and explore emerging opportunities in biomass utilization, bioproduct development, commercialization and sustainable industrial growth.
Over one and a half days, participants will hear from experts across research, industry and government while exploring how Canadian innovation can move from research and development toward commercialization and market adoption.
What to Expect
The symposium will provide opportunities to:
- Learn about emerging research, technologies and innovations in biomass and bioproducts.
- Explore pathways for commercialization and market adoption.
- Connect researchers with industry, investors, policymakers and commercialization organizations.
- Discuss opportunities and challenges facing Canada's growing bioeconomy.
- Build partnerships supporting future research, investment and business development.
- Showcase Canadian leadership in sustainable biomass utilization and bioproduct innovation.
Canada's bioeconomy has an important role to play in supporting clean growth, strengthening rural and resource-based communities, improving economic resilience and creating new value from Canada's agricultural, forestry and organic resources.
The Biomass and Bioproduct Symposium will help connect research and innovation with the people, partnerships and market opportunities needed to translate that potential into real-world impact.
Continue the Conversation at Scaling Up
The symposium has been strategically scheduled immediately before the Scaling Up Conference, November 18–20, 2026, giving participants the opportunity to attend both events and connect with an even broader community working across Canada's bioeconomy. Attendees of this symposium will receive a discount code to attend Scaling Up.
Join us in Ottawa November 17–18 to connect, collaborate and help advance the next generation of Canadian biomass and bioproduct innovation.
