Lt. Mitch Allen has always stood up for our community, and now it is our turn to stand up for him!Mitch Allen, a Lee County Sheriff's Office lieutenant with over 21 years of service, was diagnosed with oral cancer in March 2025. He has undergone major jaw reconstruction surgery and has completed 30 rounds of radiation treatment, he now needs dental implants to complete his recovery, but his insurance has denied coverage by classifying them as cosmetic despite them being necessary due to cancer treatment.
