Big Guitars From Texas - "TRASH TWANG AND THUNDER LIVE!" Listening Party w/ Don Leady and Mike BuckFour decades after the formation of possibly the most famous and shortest-lived band in Austin history, LeRay Records is releasing TRASH TWANG AND THUNDER LIVE! featuring the original Big Guitars From Texas lineup playing on ten previously unreleased cuts recorded in 1985.
This limited issue digipak CD features seven new songs that were not on the original 1985 issued studio album. The performances were from three rehearsals, two or three live gigs at the Continental Club and a studio rehearsal. All tracks are recorded either before or after their Grammy nomination for Best Rock Instrumental Performance and their trip to the ceremony in Los Angeles.
A side project gone haywire, the original Big Guitars From Texas featured an all-star lineup of Austin musicians that all had their own bands. Their shows were known for being outrageous, irreverent and crazy fun.
