As part of Lost Decades, we’re looking for photographs taken in Bideford between 1940 and 1960 to help fill a gap in the Beaford Archive. Before you come, please look through your collection and choose a few photographs you’d like to share. You don’t need to bring everything.
On the day, we’ll digitise your photographs, talk about the stories behind them and explain how they can become part of the Beaford Archive.
Your photographs and stories will help preserve Bideford’s history and will form part of a special Lost Decades exhibition in Spring 2027.
You remain in control. We’ll explain the permissions before you decide what you’re happy for us to preserve and share. Your original photographs come home with you.
