Got beef with Grand Rapids? Bring it.Bi-Weekly Beef is an open, casual community conversation for people who live, work, and spend time in Grand Rapids to talk about the things they think could be better.
Maybe it’s a pothole that never seems to get fixed. A neighborhood that needs more attention. A resource you wish existed. An area that could use a cleanup. Something about the culture of the city that frustrates you.
Or an issue that makes you wonder, “Does anyone else notice this?”
This isn’t a formal town hall and there’s no podium or prepared agenda. We’re creating a relaxed space where neighbors can talk openly, hear different perspectives, share resources, exchange ideas, and, when possible, start thinking about solutions.
Sometimes you just need somewhere to vent. Other times, the person sitting across from you may know exactly who to call, what resource exists, or have an idea nobody else in the room has considered.
The goal isn’t just to complain about Grand Rapids. It’s to get people talking about how we can make it better.
