Who owns the algorithm? And whose interests does it serve? 👀💻🌍AI is changing how we work, access information and make decisions. Yet the technology overwhelmingly serves the interests of Big Tech & rich countries. How much say does Africa actually have in shaping the technologies we increasingly depend on?
Join us for Bhawa Lectures: 'Who Owns the Algorithm? AI, Africa & the Fight for Digital Sovereignty' with Dr Blessing Vava, digital governance researcher and civic leader.
We’ll explore who controls our data and the foreign platforms shaping African public debate, and what it would take for African societies to have greater power over their digital future.
