About this Event
Black Females in Architecture (BFA) in partnership with ROCA London Gallery invites you to an evening CV & Portfolio Workshop designed to support students, graduates and early-career professionals in strengthening their job applications and learning directly from women working in the built environment.
Taking place on Thursday 9th April 2026 from 6:30pm, this event will focus on sharing real career journeys, offering practical advice, and providing the opportunity to receive direct feedback on your CV and portfolio from experienced professionals. The aim is to create a supportive space where attendees can gain confidence, ask questions, and better understand what employers are looking for when applying for roles in architecture and related fields.
The evening will begin with presentations from professional women, who will speak about their career paths so far, the challenges they have faced, and the lessons they have learned while working in the industry. These talks are intended to give honest insight into different routes through architectural education and practice, and to encourage open discussion about navigating the profession.
Following the talks, attendees will break out into small groups for CV and portfolio review sessions, where each participant will have the chance to receive constructive feedback from a professional reviewer. These sessions are designed to be informal, supportive and practical, helping you identify ways to improve how you present your work and experience.
Throughout the evening there will also be opportunities to network with members of the construction community, making this a valuable chance to build connections as well as develop your application skills.
