About this Event
Every time you look up at the night sky, you are receiving a message from the cosmos. In SEEING: A Photon’s Journey Across Space and Mind, follow a single photon from its birth inside a distant star across the vastness of space and into the human eye. Narrated by Neil deGrasse Tyson, this immersive journey reveals the remarkable connection between the cosmos, our eyes, and our brains and the extraordinary process that allows us to experience the Universe through light.
But visible light tells only part of the story.
Unveiling the Invisible Universe takes us beyond what our eyes can see, exploring the many different ways scientists investigate the cosmos. From X-rays and gamma rays to cosmic rays and neutrinos, and even gravitational waves created by colliding black holes, astronomers are discovering new ways to observe and understand the Universe.
Together, these two fulldome experiences invite us to reconsider what it really means to see. From a single photon entering your eye to signals arriving from the most violent events in the cosmos, discover how scientists are opening new windows onto a Universe far more vast and mysterious than we can see with our eyes alone.
