Discover the art of fiber and fabric through the creative work of featured artist Susan Dillinger. With a lifelong love of textiles, Susan transforms fabric into expressive art quilts that blend traditional techniques with contemporary design.
Inspired by the natural world, especially the intricate details of plants, Susan explores color, texture, and abstraction in her work. She creates her own fabrics using surface design techniques and incorporates mixed media elements such as paint, paper, photography, gel plate printing, and digital printing. Machine quilting, hand stitching, and embroidery add layers of texture and delicate details, making each piece uniquely her own.
Drawing on years of experience owning a quilt shop, teaching quilting, and participating in art exhibits and critique groups, Susan continues to push the boundaries of fiber art and explore new creative possibilities.
