PSL Green Markets partnered with Heavenly Dove Academy to bring an interactive reading experience to our community.Beyond the Pages!
Featuring: The Monster at the End of This Book
A Storytime Adventure Full of Laughter, Suspense, and Creativity!
Oh no! There's a monster at the end of this book, and we're NOT turning another page!
Join us for a fun, interactive reading of The Monster at the End of This Book, starring Grover! But there's one little problem... Grover is afraid of what's waiting at the end, and our storyteller is too! We'll need the children's help to decide whether we should dare turn another page!
Throughout this silly adventure, children will become part of the story as we pretend to be afraid alongside Grover, make predictions, and use clues to guess what might happen next. Along the way, we'll explore courage, facing our fears, and learning to trust God when we don't know what lies ahead.
What to Expect:
Prediction Practice: Children will use story clues to make predictions and share what they think might happen next.
A Little Life Lesson: We'll explore courage, overcoming fears, and trusting God when facing the unknown.
Create a Reading Buddy: Each child will have the opportunity to decorate their very own Reading Buddy bookmark.
Reading Buddy Adoption: Children will receive a special adoption certificate to name and officially adopt their new reading companion!
Take-Home Fun: Every child will take home their Reading Buddy bookmark and adoption certificate. Children who prefer not to decorate during the workshop can finish their Reading Buddy at home!
Literacy Focus: Making predictions and using story clues
Character Focus: Courage, overcoming fear, and trusting God
Workshop Duration: Approximately 45–60 minutes, including decorating time. Families who choose to complete the craft at home can expect approximately 30–40 minutes.
Come ready to laugh, imagine, and help us decide... SHOULD WE TURN THE PAGE?!
