Join Becky Sedman BSc(Hons) MRCVS, Lead Night Hospital Clinician, and explore the range of techniques available, from oxygen kennels and tracheal oxygen to mechanical ventilation, and how to select the most appropriate approach for each patient.
In addition, learn how to optimise oxygen therapy for different presentations of dyspnoea, with a practical look at the pros and cons of each technique, how to monitor oxygenation and ventilatory function, and when escalation is necessary. Becky will also give a quick overview of mechanical ventilation and how we manage ventilated patients in the ICU.
