Join us for an interactive panel exploring how local nonprofits can tap into the University of Illinois's student research groups. These research groups are an excellent resource for tackling projects and expanding your organizational capacity. Join us to learn more about applicable projects and topic areas such as market research, program evaluation, community needs assessments, communications strategy, and more.
We'll hear from three local professionals who facilitate student research teams at UIUC:
- Katie Shumway, Senior Director of Community Engagement at the University of Illinois School of Social Work
- Salvo Rodriguez, Associate Director for the Magelli Office of Experiential Learning at the Gies College of Business
- Jacinda Dariotis, Director of the Family Resiliency Center, Pampered Chef Ltd. Endowed Chair in Family Resiliency, Professor of Human Development and Family Studies, and Health Innovation Professor in the Carle Illinois College of Medicine
They'll share how these partnerships work, what kinds of projects are a good fit, and how your organization can get started, followed by an open discussion where you can ask questions specific to your nonprofit's needs.
This session is designed for Executive Directors, Development Directors, Board Chairs, and anyone looking for creative ways to expand their organization's capacity without expanding their budget.
