# Beyond Silence: Belonging**Saturday, November 7, 2026**

Some experiences shape our lives before we've even had the chance to understand them.
For adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and incest, healing can mean navigating complicated relationships, family dynamics, betrayal, grief, and the weight of secrets that were never ours to carry.
And sometimes, one of the hardest parts is feeling like nobody else understands.
**Belonging was created to change that.**
Belonging is a community gathering specifically for adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and incest.
A space where you can connect with others who understand the complexity of these experiences. Where you don't have to explain why healing isn't linear, why family relationships can be complicated, or why things that happened decades ago can still matter today.
You don't have to be at any particular stage of healing.
You don't have to have disclosed your experiences, confronted anyone, or forgiven anyone.
**You don't have to share your story.**
You can talk, listen, connect, or simply enjoy a cup of coffee in a space where you belong.
**What to expect:**
- A welcoming, survivor-centered community gathering
- Connection and conversation without pressure to disclose
- Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, snacks, and treats
- Respect for each person's experiences, boundaries, and choices
**Registration recommended. Walk-ins welcome as space allows.**
Facilitated by Becky Hellwig, LCSW, LCAS.
This is a facilitated community support gathering, not psychotherapy or crisis services. Participants are asked to respect one another's privacy, although confidentiality cannot be guaranteed in a community setting.
**You were never responsible for what happened to you.**
You were never meant to carry the shame.
And you were never meant to carry it all alone.
**You belong here.**
