Artist Chung-ming Yang discusses how material and perception converge in today’s printmaking (with demonstration).
About this Event

This lecture is delivered by artist Chung-ming Yang, who examines how artworks take shape through material, perception, and process. Drawing on his printmaking practice and collaboration with the Forest Research Institute, the lecture explores transfer, layering, repetition, and trace as processes through which images emerge and perception unfolds. Working across printmaking, painting, and installation, Yang reimagines printmaking as a dialogue between material and spirit. Handmade paper, fibre structures, and botanical materials become vehicles for exploring process, sensation, and memory. His reflective works bridge traditional craftsmanship and contemporary sensibility, embodying a distinctly Taiwanese vision of making and memory.
