Between Breaths: A Guided Exploration into Altered States of Consciousness

Saturday 20 June | 1:00pm – 2.30pm
Revitalise Studio, Hove
Limited to 12 participants

This 90-minute guided breathwork session is designed for people who are curious about the deeper transformative and consciousness-altering effects of breathwork for emotional release, clarity and insight, but want to explore these states in a safe, guided and trauma informed environment.

Through conscious connected breathwork, it’s possible to enter expanded states of consciousness that can bring clarity, emotional release, vivid imagery, deep insight, and a stronger connection to ourselves and our inner world. While these altered states can sometimes feel intense or unfamiliar, they can also become powerful spaces for self-discovery, perspective shifts, and healing.

Many breathwork experiences focus purely on intensity and catharsis. This session takes a different approach, drawing on principles of pendulation and titration and using breath retentions to gradually move between activation and regulation. This allows the nervous system to explore deeper states without becoming overwhelmed. The aim is to create a safe and supported space for emotional release, insight, and exploration while remaining connected to your body, your breath, and your sense of safety.

The session will include:

  • Gentle warm-up and grounding exercises
  • Guided conscious connected breathwork
  • Pendulation between activation and regulation using breath retentions
  • Trauma informed facilitation
  • Meditation and embodiment practices
  • Journaling and integration time at the end
  • Optional post-event group hang out on the beach!

The closing meditation will focus on returning home to the body, learning to sit with ourselves, listen inwardly, and begin integrating insights that surfaced during the journey.

This is a small and intimate group experience with space for individual care and attention.

Whether you’re completely new to breathwork or already exploring deeper practices, this session is designed to help you approach altered states with curiosity, steadiness, and self-trust.
