Join us at the most exclusive event of Bern’s Winefest, the Bern’s Steak House Legacy Dinner. Guests will experience an extravagant five-course dinner in Bern’s Table, the newest private dining space nestled within the restaurant’s award-winning wine cellar. This seated food and wine experience features hand-selected rare vintages from the Bern’s Steak House cellar, chosen by Bern’s Family Restaurant Group Proprietor David Laxer, Wine Director Chris Belk, and Senior Sommelier Brad Dixon.

Each rare vintage is thoughtfully curated and expertly paired with a dish from one of our esteemed local chefs:

A portion of the wines for this festival event are donated by Bern’s Steak House to the Laxer Family Foundation, benefiting the Bern Laxer Memorial Scholarship Fund through the James Beard Foundation. Without Bern Laxer’s vision and expert palate, the renowned Bern’s Steak House wine collection would not exist as it does today. His legacy continues to support the next generation of leaders in culinary arts, hospitality management, and viticulture.

The Laxer Family Foundation is a charitable foundation that provides the opportunity to raise money through events that foster a more inclusive and cooperative youth culture while cultivating the advancement of the next generation of culinary leaders through scholarships. Since 1997, Bern’s Winefest has been the main fundraising event for the Bern Laxer Memorial Scholarship. Through the James Beard Foundation selection process, funds are awarded to individuals from the state of Florida in one of three disciplines: Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or Viticulture.
