About this Event
The Sunday scaries don't stand a chance against a lap full of Bengal kittens.
Welcome to Bengal Kitten Yoga by Yoga Kawa in Toronto, where the afternoon slows down, the mats come out, and a crew of spotted, wild-looking kittens does exactly as it pleases.
Bengals are not wallflowers. They are curious, confident, and a little theatrical. Expect nose boops during downward dog, tiny paws on your shoulders during a forward fold, and at least one kitten who decides your mat is their mat now.
Here's how the hour breaks down:
- 35 minutes of easy, beginner-friendly yoga
- 20 minutes of connection and cuddle time
- 5 minutes of sharing circle
Why people keep coming back
Kitten yoga has a way of making the room soften. You arrive carrying whatever the week handed you, and then a Bengal kitten headbutts your elbow mid-pose and none of it feels quite so heavy. Your nervous system just... exhales. People come back because it works, and also because the kittens are genuinely hilarious to watch.
A note on Bengal kittens
Bengals are one of the most interactive cat breeds around. They are athletic, playful, and deeply nosy in the best possible way. They love climbing, exploring, and inserting themselves into whatever you are doing. In a yoga class, that means they are everywhere, often all at once, and the whole room tends to laugh more than it expects to.
Kids and families
Kids ages 5 and up are welcome. Anyone under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian who also participates and helps the child move gently and handle the kittens with care.
Mats provided. No experience needed. Just show up, breathe, and let the Bengals take it from there.
