What if caring for the Lowcountry starts with understanding the connections between its plants, people, and places?Beneath the Oaks is an afternoon of conversation, learning, and connection exploring the landscapes that make the Lowcountry unlike anywhere else.
And you don’t have to be an expert to take part.
From 4–6 PM, choose two breakout sessions and explore the topics that interest you most—from plants and habitat to conservation, culture, and the future of our shared landscapes.
From 6–7 PM, come together for a reception, grab a drink, meet fellow attendees, and continue the conversation.
Then, from 7–8:30 PM, join landscape architect Preston Montague for a keynote exploring how thoughtful design, collaboration, and public policy can transform the places we use every day into thriving landscapes that support both people and the natural world.
Beneath the Oaks is for gardeners, plant lovers, conservationists, landscape professionals, community members, and the simply curious.
If you care about the Lowcountry, there’s a place for you in the conversation.
