About this Event
On Sunday, June 21st, Dripping returns to Pioneer Works for their second annual showcase with Bendik Giske, Pavel Milyakov, and MOTHERBOARD with Saint Just. Dripping founders Relaxer and Baby Leo will DJ between artists, setting the tone for the night.
This lineup follows up the fourth edition of Dripping’s annual festival, a three-night camping event in Sparta, NJ that has become one of the most anticipated events of the year for people with equal interests in the avant garde and the electronic club underground. Self-described as “a boundary-expanding rave bound by no genre or format,” Dripping’s curation has spanned from experimental DJs, modern composers, live electronic acts, dub pioneers, noise artists, clowns, authors, poets, and much, much more.
For this event, Dripping invites Pavel Milyakov to extend his stay following two sets at the festival. The artist, also known as Buttechno, has become something of a folk hero for fans of leftfield electronic music. His body of work spans moody club music, dank atmospherics, fascinating re-interpretations of new age, haunting compositional work, and beyond. There’s a deep emotional undercurrent and an undeniable honesty to all his work. He presents a special concert of new experimental material.
Saxophone virtuoso Bendik Giske is another Dripping alumni. One of the most blindingly capable instrumentalists working today, Giske combines extended technique, circular breathing, and unorthodox mic’ing techniques to transform the saxophone into a full ensemble. But this technical facility wouldn’t mean much if Giske’s music weren’t as arresting as it is. His tightly-controlled sonic deluges are stunningly beautiful, at times harrowing journeys.
MOTHERBOARD is the new project from vocalist Kyle Kidd, a generational vocal talent whose singing is unmistakable and shockingly powerful. Through deep hypnotic neo-soul, spiritual dance music, gospel and opera, MOTHERBOARD embodies a wide-ranging lineage of Black music. To hear Kidd sing is to be instantly riveted; they channel pure spirit with stunning technique and a profound presence. MOTHERBOARD kicks off Dripping 2026 with the first music of the weekend.
This concert takes place within artist Ash Fure’s site-specific installation, ANIMAL [the listening gym]. Learn more about the exhibition .
