Come and join the last Awfully Pleasant Scooter Association ride of the year for 70 glorious miles on your classic geared scooter through the winding country lanes of Northamptonshire, Rutland and Leicestershire to Belvoir Castle and back. It’s a procession, not a race so shafters and 8” wheels are more than welcome – respectfully no autos or P ranges – as we adhere to a pre-1971 timeline.
The start and finish point is New Lodge Farm in Bulwick, Northants NN17 3DU, where we have the use of the events field for camping (see details below) and plenty of room for parking.
Meeting from 9.30am there will be bacon and sausage baps on arrival. These will be priced at £4.50 with self-service tea or coffee FOC. If you’d prefer a full breakfast, these will be available in the farm café from 9am.
There will be a ride briefing at 10.45am with the ride starting at 11am. There will be a pub lunch stop at approximately 35 miles and also a fuel stop.
We will then return to New Lodge Farm mid-afternoon where they will be serving draft beer and firing up the woodstove pizza oven from 4pm.
A full route will follow along with commemorative APSA legshield banners and stickers to mark the event.
Spread the word to your classic scooter riding friends.
