The first class is aimed new dancers and those who want to recover the basics. You will be learning the foundation moves, focusing on technique - you will be shimmying from your first class !
The later class is for anyone with more than 20 weeks of belly dance under their coin belt and is more focused on individual growth, your personal aims, and your belly dance journey. This semester we will work on performance skills. Please come with a prepared choreography or improvisation and be ready to show the group.

Bellydance is a great way to make friends, get fit, have fun and feel fabulous. Its a mix of modern and traditional dance from the MENAHT regions (Middle East, North Africa, Hellenic, Turkish and beyond), adapted for local audiences.
Your teacher, Sara Shrapnell, is a belly dance teacher, performer, writer and mentor. As the "teacher's teacher", she trains others, world wide, to teach bellydance.
January classes are also available to book.
January 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th and February 3rd (5 weeks $67)
Beginners will be learning how to dance to live drums, while the later class will be taking a deeper look into singers who have influenced Egyptian music.
(Please note: "Going" on FB does not keep you a space at this event. Only payment confirms attendance. - thank you for your understanding)
