For some Christmas Fun come learn a soft, sweet and lovely lil short choreography with us :)Beginners are welcome to join in, this choreography is suitable for all levels of dancer.
The cane dance also known as the "Women's style" (Raqs al-Assaya) is playful and danced with fun and grace, the "Men's style" (Tahteeb) mimics masculinity, battle or a combat scene. This dance originates from Upper Egypt.
Wear clothing that is comfortable to move your body especially your arms, bring you a water for breaks. I have extra hips scarves to borrow during class. There will be online videos to help you practice at home.
*You will receive a wooden gold & silver Saidi Belly Dance cane with this choreo that is yours to keep.
Options for class:
*** Wednesdays Nov. 11th & 18th 6:45pm - 8:15pm
(1 1/2 hour each class) ...... $45.00
*** Saturday Nov. 14th 1:00pm - 3:30pm
2 1/2 hour class ........$45.00
* If you choose to pay and take Wednesday's choreo classes and also want to come for Saturday's class to get extra practice the cost is another $20.00 for that day.

We will use this dance at our annual Christmas Hafla,... it is an instrumental piece that can transition well for us to use in later performances also.
