Join us for a thoughtful guided visit to Choa Chu Kang Cemetery including the Garden of Peace, offering insights into Singapore's memorial practices and end‑of‑life journey, in support of the Clean and Green Singapore Movement.
This curated bus tour invites participants to learn about the historical and cultural significance of Choa Chu Kang Cemetery, Singapore's only active cemetery, which was opened in 1946. It has long been connected to Singapore's community memory and evolving funeral traditions. Through guided sharing, visitors will gain a deeper appreciation of how respect, dignity and the honouring of loved ones are expressed across generations and different religions.
Travelling by 23‑seater bus from Keat Hong Community Club, the tour will visit the Jewish, Parsi, Christian, Lawn, Muslim and Hindu cemeteries, with stops made at selected points where conditions permit. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about different burial traditions represented in the cemetery and experience its calm, reflective environment.
The tour also includes the Garden of Peace, Singapore's first inland ash scattering garden. Designed as a serene and dignified space for quiet commemoration, it offers families a meaningful option for honouring loved ones, while reflecting Singapore's thoughtful approach to land use and memorial care in a land‑scarce city.

- 10.00am: Board 23‑seater bus at Keat Hong Community Club
- 10.20am: Arrive at Choa Chu Kang Cemetery and stop at the selected sites where appropriate, to visit the various cemeteries, e.g. the Jewish, Parsi, Christian, Lawn, Muslim and Hindu cemeteries, and visit Garden of Peace with focus on green burial as part of the after‑death services in Singapore
- 12.00pm: Return to Keat Hong Community Club

- This is a quiet and sensitive tour conducted in an active cemetery and ash scattering garden. Participants are expected to dress modestly and behave respectfully at all times.
- Out of respect for bereaved families and other visitors, participants must keep noise to a minimum and refrain from loud conversations, music or phone use.
- Photography is not advisable when there are funerals, rituals or mourners present nearby.
- Participants must stay on designated paths and not walk across graves, climb on monuments, disturb offerings or handle any religious items.
- Food and drink, other than bottled water, should not be consumed on site. All litter must be taken away or disposed of in bins provided.
- The tour involves boarding and alighting from a coach, as well as walking on uneven ground. Participants should wear comfortable, closed footwear and be prepared for outdoor weather.
- The organiser reserves the right to adjust the route, shorten the visit or omit certain stops in the event of funerals, large crowds, bad weather or other operational considerations.
- By registering, participants acknowledge that they are joining at their own risk, agree to follow all instructions from the organiser and host facilities, and consent to the use of photographs taken during the event for non-commercial publicity of Clean & Green Singapore activities, unless they inform the organiser otherwise in advance.
Refunds and Cancellations
All ticket fees paid are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. This policy applies under all circumstances, including but not limited to, participant cancellation, no-shows, or any unforeseen events. The ticket fees are meticulously calculated to cover essential operational costs, including organising, administration, logistical arrangements, and other integral aspects required to deliver a high-quality and well-managed tour experience. By registering for and participating in this tour, all participants acknowledge and agree to this policy.
