This class will guide you through picking fabric, fusing fabric, cutting and layering to create a beautiful vase of flowers collage.The class begins with an in-depth look at fabric selection, where you'll learn how to choose fabrics that add depth, color, texture, and dimension to your collage. We'll discuss value, scale, print, and color placement. You'll receive guidance in selecting and organizing fabrics that will make your project come alive.
Once your fabrics are chosen, you'll begin building your collage using Laura Heine's collage technique. Step-by-step instruction will guide you through cutting, layering, and fusing your fabrics to create a vibrant, one-of-a-kind work of art. Individual assistance will be provided throughout the class to help you confidently progress from fabric selection to a completed collage top.

Requirements: You may bring your own fabrics to look through or purchase fabric in store during your class. All items are available for purchase at Fabric Play Quilting 3 yards of 18" wide Steam-a-Seam Large Silicone Mat for building your Vase on Karen Kay Buckley medium scissors sharpies - 2 - 3 colors (NOT available in-store) Old pair of junkie scissors Teflone applique pressing sheet All items can be purchased at Fabric Play Quilting either in advance, on the day of the class or in our online store (Sharpies not available in-store).
