Looking for a thoughtful, handmade gift for someone who loves animals? Or want to create a special piece of art for your own home this holiday season? Skip the generic gift this year. Create something personal.
Join us for a festive, beginner-friendly watercolor workshop where you'll learn watercolor techniques while creating a painting of an animal or pet of your choice.
Bring a favorite photo of a beloved pet, a family animal, or a favorite wild creature, and I'll guide you step-by-step as you turn it into a one-of-a-kind watercolor painting.
No previous painting experience is necessary!
🎨 In this workshop, you'll learn:
• Wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry techniques
• How to create smooth washes and layers
• Color mixing and choosing colors for shadows and highlights
• Techniques for creating fur, feathers, and other textures
• How to add splashes, drips, and other watercolor effects
• Finishing techniques to bring your painting to life
We'll start with a few hands-on watercolor exercises so you can get comfortable with the materials and techniques. Then we'll put those skills into practice as you create your animal portrait.
🎁 Make it a gift!
Your finished painting can become a truly personal holiday gift for a pet-loving friend, family member, partner, or anyone who has a special connection with the animal you're painting.
📸 Before the workshop:
After registering, you'll send me 1–2 clear photos of the animal you'd like to paint so that I can sketch it out before you arrive. Your photo will be your reference during the workshop, so choose one that captures the animal's personality.
🎟️ Each ticket includes all materials needed to create one painting, and each participant will take home their finished artwork.
Come spend a creative fall evening learning watercolor, making something meaningful, and getting a head start on your holiday gift list!
✨ No experience necessary. Just bring your playful spirit and come ready to paint!
