Beginners Sashiko-inspired mending

Sashiko mending is a traditional Japanese hand-stitching technique used to repair or reinforce damaged clothing and textiles to make them beautiful again.

This workshop encourages you to bring along a garment which needs a little mending, like those jeans you've always wanted to repair.

Taught in our wonderful shop by one of our fabulous tutors. You'll learn the basics in a fun atmosphere with other Beginners.

We'll provide the needles and thread. If you have a garment you'd like to mend, bring that along if you want to, otherwise, we have plenty of fabrics samples for you to learn and practice on.

There'll be teas and coffees, and of course biscuits.
