Beginner's Bow & Arrow BasicsReady to give archery a shot? Our Beginner's Bow & Arrow Basics program is a fun, safe, and hands-on introduction to archery for youth and adults with little or no previous experience!
Participants will learn:
*Archery safety and range rules
*Proper stance and body positioning
*How to safely handle a bow and arrow
*Nocking, drawing, aiming, and releasing
*Basic shooting techniques
*Focus, concentration, and hand-eye coordination
Certified instructors will provide step-by-step instruction and individualized coaching while participants practice shooting at close-range targets. The focus is on learning proper technique, building confidence, and having fun!

Dates: Saturday, October 3 & Saturday, October 10, 2026
Location: Lake Regions Library
1511 Druid Rd, Inverness, FL 34452
Youth Ages 8–17: 10:00 AM–11:00 AM
Adults Ages 18+: 11:30 AM–12:30 PM
Fee: $15 for the 2-day clinic
Registration is required.
IMPORTANT: Walk-ups will NOT be accepted. Participants must be registered in advance.
Youth participants must have a parent or adult supervisor present. Adult supervisors must be 18 or older.
All archery equipment will be provided by Citrus County Parks & Recreation.
