Ready to take your paddleboarding beyond flat water?Join us in Matlock, Derbyshire for a beginner-friendly White Water Paddleboarding Experience, designed to introduce you to moving water, gentle rapids and essential river skills in a small, supportive group.
This 2.5-hour session is suitable for adventurous beginners and paddleboarders who want to progress from flat water SUP. No previous white water experience is needed, although you must be able to swim at least 25 metres confidently.
Certified white water SUP coaches will introduce you to the essential techniques you need to control your board, navigate gentle rapids and move safely on the river. With a maximum of just four participants per instructor, there is plenty of individual coaching and time to practise.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
Your paddleboard, paddle, buoyancy aid and helmet are all provided, along with a full safety briefing and instruction from certified white water SUP coaches.
WHAT TO BRING
Bring swimwear, quick-drying layers suitable for getting wet, a towel and a complete change of clothes including footwear.
For the water, please wear old trainers or walking boots. Crocs, sandals and water shoes are not suitable.
You'll also need money for the car parking fee.
If you've been paddleboarding on lakes and calmer water and wondered what it would be like to try moving water, this is a chance to learn in a controlled environment with experienced instructors.
Places are limited to keep the group small.
