Master the basics of improv!
Every Monday night, Rogue offers a drop-in improv class focused on the theme of the month. Because we get a mixed bag of improvisers from all experience levels, we don't often go over the foundational building blocks of improv. Well, this class will help fix that! Join us for a 3-week crash course in Beginner Improv with Rogue leader Julie Silverstein! Here are the details:
What: Beginner Improv with Julie Silverstein
When: Mondays, September 14, 21, & 28 from 7-10pm (Class Performance on 9/28 at 9p)
Where: The Clinic, 11600 Venice Blvd, Mar Vista, CA 90066

BEGINNER IMPROV with JULIE SILVERSTEIN!
Let's get back to the basics! Julie will cover Agreement, Relationships, Characters, Point of View, Space Work, as well as what makes a good scene and what makes you a good scene partner. Students will get lots of stage time and feedback. This class is designed for folks who have no improv experience, or for those who have been doing a bit of improv for a while but never really got the basics. To cap it off, there will be a class performance on the third and final Monday to put your new/refreshed skills to good use!

- Anyone new to new-ish to improv
- Performers coming back to improv after being away for awhile
- Improvisers wanting to brush up on the basics
Julie completed the training programs at L.A's Groundlings and Phoenix’s Torch Theatre and has studied with many amazing teachers, including David Razowsky and Jill Bernard. She has performed short-form improv for 10 years as a member of Comedy Sportz (Buffalo) and NCT (Phoenix) as well as improvising regularly on several long-form troupes such as Rogue Warriors, The Accidentals (duo), and Las Locas (trio). Julie has been involved with Rogue since 2024 as a student, teacher, and is currently on their leadership team.
