Join Daniel Shaw and David O’Neill for a beginner bird walk at Fletcher Wildlife Garden!
Maintained by the Ottawa Field-Naturalists’ Club, this urban wildlife haven features a variety of habitats, including wooded areas, open fields, a pollinator garden, a pond, and bird feeders, attracting an impressive diversity of birds throughout the year!
As fall migration wraps up, we'll focus on the birds that call Ottawa home for the winter, including woodpeckers, finches, chickadees, and nuthatches. We'll also explore the canal area, where migrating ducks, gulls, and other waterbirds may be gathering.
