HumFems holy movie trinity har sin premiär den 14/10!!! Är du sugen på se filmer, men inte så sugen på kvinnors underrepresentation i dem? Då är du varmt välkommen på Bechdels Bio & Bärs!!!🍻
Denna gång är vi på V-Dala Nation.
Har du hört talas om Bechdel-Wallace testet? Det är tre-stegat test som används för att avgöra kvinnors representation i filmer. Kriterierna är följande:
1. Filmen har minst TVÅ namngivna kvinnliga karaktärer…
2. …som TALAR med varandra om…
3. …något annat än en MAN
Det ska väl inte vara så svårt, ellerhur? Särskilt inte när filmen i fråga är den samhällskritiska rom-com filmen But I’m a Cheerleader (1999).
Efteråt väntar spännande samtal om filmen i gott sällskap, kanske över (fem)öl eller en nationsburgare? ;)

Have you heard of the Bechdel-Wallace test? It’s a three-step test used to determine the representation of women in movies. The criteria is the following:
1. The movie must have at least TWO female characters who…
2. …TALK to each other about…
3. …something other than a MAN
That shouldn’t be too difficult, right? Especially not if the movie in question is the socially critical rom-com movie But I’m a Cheerleader (1999).
Stay afterwards for exciting discussions about the movie with friends, perhaps over a few drinks or good food? ;)
