Beatriz González (1932-2026) var kjent som la maestra i colombiansk kunst, og regnes som en av de viktigste latinamerikanske kunstnerne fra det 20. århundret. Med en særegen grafisk stil og en sterk, ofte uventet fargebruk undersøkte González hvordan bildene vi møter i hverdagen påvirker oss, og hvordan de former måten vi forstår verden på.
Utstillingen er en hyllest til et enestående kunstnerskap som har satt varige spor i kunsthistorien, og som fortsatt oppleves akutt relevant i møte med dagens visuelle og politiske virkelighet.

Known as la maestra of Colombian art, Beatriz González (1932-2026) was one of the most important and influential Latin American artists of the 20th century.
With a distinctive graphic style and bold palette, González’s work explored the power and impact of the images we encounter every day, probing their potential to communicate and determine how we perceive the world.
The exhibition will stand as a tribute to her extraordinary artistic legacy, which will leave a lasting imprint on the history of art.
