About this Event

Rubber Soul is...“One of the greatest albums of all time”-the BBC. Mojo. Rolling Stone. VH1. Time Magazine…

"You can say this represents 'maturity,' call it 'art' or credit it for moving rock away from singles to album-length statements – but regardless Rubber Soul accelerated popular music's creative arms race, driving competitors like the Stones, the Beach Boys and Dylan to dismantle expectations and create new ones."—Rolling Stone

As for The Rolling Stones Big Hits (High Tide and Green Grass), these are the songs that cemented the Rolling Stones as the cultural force we know them as today. "The Last Time", "Satisfaction", "Get Off My Cloud", "Paint It Black", "Time Is On My Side" "As Tears Go By" "19th Nervous Breakdown" remain cornerstones in music's foundation.

Dennis Tufano, The Desert Rose Band's John Jorgenson, and The Bangles' Vicki Peterson are among a superb cast that bring you "Rubber Soul" the Beatles classic recognized by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the Top 5 albums of all time. Rubber Soul was the album that introduced a new level of lyrical introspection and musical sophistication to the sound of the Beatles, while for the Rolling Stones Big Hits was the essential statement that exclaimed that Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman and Brian Jones. are a force to be reckoned with.

Celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Beatles legendary Rubber Soul album with us at the Grammy Museum.

Our cast includes...JOHN JORGENSON, co-founded country-rock act The Desert Rose Band in the 1980's with Herb Pederson and the Byrds' Chris Hillman, and during that time . Jorgenson won the Academy of Country Music’s “Guitarist of the Year” award three consecutive years. Sought out by Bonnie Raitt, Bob Seger and Barbra for studio work, Elton John saw fit to add John to his band for 5 years. Mandolin, mandocello, Dobro, pedal steel, piano, upright bass, clarinet, bassoon, and saxophone are among the other instruments JJ has mastered.

VICKI PETERSON is best known as a founding member, lead guitarist, vocalist and songwriter for 80s legends The Bangles, whose fresh distillation of 60s influences created a dynamic series of hits including "Hero Takes a Fall", "Walk Like an Egyptian". JOHN COWSILL was of course a founding member of the Cowsills, whose harmonies on songs like "We Can Fly". He spent more than two decades touring with the Beach Boys, including the 50th anniversary tour with all surviving members. He formed the Action Skulls with Bill Mumy and Vicki Peterson in 2017.
