Grab your sweaters and dancing shoes! Step into your Fall weekends during two special edition outdoor hustle and line dancing sessions with the N’Namdi Movement Center and instructor Maurice Adams. Stay after class and hear live music during Beacon Park's Fall Music Showcase on October 10th and Fall After Dark on October 17th.
Join the N’Namdi Movement Center and instructor Maurice Adams. Experience Beginner and Intermediate sessions in an openair setting in the heart of the city! Learn the basics of non-partner dance styles like hustle, line dancing and ballroom with an experienced instructor in a beautiful outdoor space. Sessions are open to beginners and more experienced dancers.
Date 1 : Saturday, October 10
- Dance Class Time: 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
- Fall Music Showcase Time: 7 p.m - 9.pm. featuring a live smooth jazz performace by Uncommon Experience.
Date 2: Saturday, October 17
- Dance Class Time: 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
- Fall After Dark Time: 7 p.m - 10 .pm. featuring a live country and rock performance by Dusty Mixtape featuring Gavin Flynn.

We suggest wearing comfortable clothes you can move in, a bottle for filling at the water station and sun protection.
This class is FREE and OPEN to the public. Space will be limited based on park capacity
The N’Namdi Center for Contemporary Art presents diverse, multi-disciplinary and engaging art experiences. It serves to promote and perpetuate the cultural legacy of African-American and African diasporic art, along with art from diverse cultures. Since its conception in 2010, the N’Namdi Center has contributed to the Detroit arts scene by presenting art exhibitions by nationally and internationally renowned artists as well as local and emerging talent.
