About this Event
Embrace slowness, mindfulness, and restoration through Move/Be Still, a mind and body series at Kemper Museum, drawing inspiration from themes in featured exhibition, Lie. Sit. Stand. Be Still.
Join us for Be Still: Meditation with Jaydream Hogan, while surrounded by the artwork of exhibition Lie. Sit. Stand. Be Still. Jaydream is passionate about accessibility and advocates for yoga for everyone regardless of age, size, race, gender, ability, or economic status. They are intentional about creating a welcoming space to guide folks through the many embodiment practices that the 8 limbs of yoga provide.
Jaydream (they/them) is a mixed 2nd generation mestizo and white nonbinary queer person living in KC*. They have been practicing yoga since 2015 and teaching since 2018. As a steward for the many teachings of yoga, Jaydream embraces a “forever student” mentality and believes that all of us have things to teach and things to learn. Their offerings are built on an unassuming foundation-one that earnestly holds space for one's ever shifting, evolving, and complex Self. They are passionate about accessible yoga and intentionally create a welcoming space to guide folks through the many embodiment practices that yoga provides.
Jaydream has personally been empowered by this practice and is infinitely grateful for the many gifts that yoga teachings have presented to them. It is from a space of gratitude that they wish to share those resources with others.
*Jaydream is living and practicing on the land of the Očhéthi Šakówiŋ, Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo), Washtáge Moⁿzháⁿ (Kaw / Kansa), and Wažáže (Osage) people. Land that was stolen, colonized, and renamed to Kansas City.
