The City of Slidell is excited to announce the complete lineup for the 24th annual Bayou Jam Fall Concert Series, featuring four free concerts and a special Veterans Day performance.
The fall series kicks off Sunday, Oct. 4, with Flow Tribe at Heritage Park. Amanda Shaw and the Cute Guys will take the stage Oct. 11, followed by Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos on Oct. 25. The series will conclude Nov. 8 with a special Veterans Day Concert featuring the Northshore Community Orchestra at the Slidell Municipal Auditorium.
“We are excited to welcome everyone back for another great season of Bayou Jam concerts,” said Slidell Mayor Randy Fandal. “Over the last 24 years, these concerts have become a tradition, bringing family and friends together to enjoy live music right here in Slidell. I encourage everyone in our community to come out and enjoy these concerts!”
Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos is not your typical Bayou Jam act. For the first time in Bayou Jam history, we’re bringing the piano bar experience you find at places like Pat O’Brien’s Piano Bar to Heritage Park. That’s right, we’ll have two pianists on stage playing your favorite songs from artists like Billy Joel, Elton John, Journey and Neil Diamond, along with plenty of other favorites, while taking requests from the audience!
Felix and Fingers combines the energy of a live concert with the spontaneity of audience requests. Their dueling pianos shows have audiences singing, dancing, laughing and becoming part of the performance. With a repertoire that spans rock, country, hip-hop, oldies, jazz and everything in between, no two shows are the same. The setlist is driven by audience requests, so whether it’s a familiar favorite or an unexpected song, the performers feed off the crowd and keep the energy going from the first song to the last. It’s more than a concert, it’s a full-on, interactive party where you’re part of the show!
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening of great music with family and friends. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. All regular concerts are free and open to the public.
