The Bayleys Orewa Beach Fun Run is back for year two!Timed 2.5 km and 5 km courses • Finishers medal • Supporting Ōrewa College
Whether you’re chasing a personal best or enjoying a beach stroll with friends and family, everyone is welcome. Choose a 2.5 km or 5 km course along beautiful Orewa Beach, entirely on the sand at low tide. No roads or footpaths, just fresh sea air and plenty of encouragement along the way.
We’re building on last year’s success to make this an annual event our community can be proud of. 100% of the event’s profits go to Ōrewa College, supporting the school and its students.
Bring your friends and whānau, and join us for a great morning on the beach for a great cause!
On the day
Registration: From 9:00am at the marquee near the Orewa Surf Lifesaving Club
Safety briefing: 9:45am on the beach
Start: 10:00am, 1 hour before low tide
Start groups: Choose Race or Fun when you enter - if you choose race you will start at the front of the start line.
Race bib: All participants must register and wear their numbered bib
The Ōrewa College Kapa Haka group will open the event. The first 1,000 finishers receive a medal, and there’ll be a sausage sizzle after the run.
We try and make this event as sustainable as possible so please bring a filled water bottle and take home everything you bring.
Run or walk with friends and family: Groups of three or more receive $10 off per person when entered together in one transaction. All ages and distances can be mixed.
