SAFE, in collaboration with cross-cutting Ministries, Departments, Agencies, NGOs, and UN bodies, will host the two-day Bay of Bengal Festival 2026 at Cox's Bazar as part of World Oceans Day 2025Chronology: June 08, 2026, Cox's Bazar; around 1000 participants.
Specified Events:
• Educational Events: Youth and Blue Economy in the Bay of Bengal
• Creative and Cultural Events: Bay in Bengal in Focus: Photography, Ocean Films, and Sand Sculpture Competition and Exhibition
• Beach and Marine Sports Events: Walkathon, Beach Volleyball, Cycling (Marine Drive, Teknaf, 80 km), Surfing (in the vicinity of Kolatoli), and Coast-to-Coast Sailing
• Ocean Conservation Events: Beach and underwater clean-up at Cox’s Bazar and St Martin Island
