History Speak x Two Little Giraffes (TLG)
Battersea and Nine Elms are full of art, architecture and stories that most of us walk past every day without ever really seeing. This is a chance to see it properly and to spend an afternoon with your neighbours doing it.
Join History Speak founder Manasi, for a guided walk through Battersea's art and architecture, in partnership with TLG marking TLG's final chapter on Thessaly Road before their move to a new home.
What's included?
- A guided walking exhibition through Battersea and Nine Elms' art and architecture with Manasi Pophale, founder of History Speak
- Coffee (or other drink) and Gelato back at TLG to finish
- Photos taken throughout the day by a professional photographer, plus a chance to pose at the TLG backdrop — access to your photos shared after the event

What you will see:
We will meet in front of the Rainbow Plaque for My Beautiful Laundrette.
We will go past the Nine Elms Tube Station (Northern Line) and cross under the newly opened Arch 42 to walk around the US Embassy. From there, we will see the floating village of Nine Elms that has witnessed the city grow around it. Finally, a walk down 'Happy Street' to one of the icons of industrial Britain - Battersea Power Station.
Along the way, we will see sculptures and artworks in public spaces. The experience will transform our neighbourhood into a gallery. We end the walk at Two Little Giraffes and enjoy a drink and gelato and take a moment to reflect on our journey together.

About the Guide
Hi! My name is Manasi and I am the Creative Director of History Speak CIC. I draw on my background and experience as a designer to engage with narratives of the built environment. I have been living in Nine Elms since 2017 and have seen the area develop around me.
In addition to giving you insights on public art and architecture, I draw on interactions with the local community to share untold stories and hidden gems.
